This is by far my favorite go-to easy, quick meal.
2 C of water to 1C rice
Fresh is best or reheat some in sesame oil.
Egg: one or two
Butter: about a tsp
If you have a rice cooker or instant pot, make fresh rice. A pot on the stove, low heat, works too. The rice is usually done when you can smell it, approx. 17 mins.
If you have cold rice, reheat it on low with some butter or sesame oil.
Also on low, put a little sesame oil or butter in a small frying pan . Crack a fresh egg or two into it and cover.
Don't be tempted to turn it up or flip them over, you want the whites to cook but not the yolks.
Put some hot rice in a small bowl, ass a tsp or so of butter and some soy sauce or Temari. Gently lay the sunny side up eggs on top.
When you're ready, mix it all up! The egg yolk, soy sauce and butter mix together and become a sauce for the rice.
